Daily Forecast: January 25, 2023

The winter storm will move into the region tomorrow, beginning early in the morning for Southwestern Ontario. Wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h are expected, and possibly up to 70 km/h in some areas, causing blowing and drifting snow.

Snowfall Warnings and Winter Weather Travel Advisories have been issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada. Within the Snowfall Warning, 10 to 20 cm is expected. Check your local alert page on their website for more details. Within the Winter Weather Travel Advisory, poor driving conditions are expected due to accumulating snow, with snow accumulations of 5 to 12 cm.

The morning commute may be slow tomorrow in parts of Southwestern Ontario as the snow begins, however, the afternoon and evening commute will be poor across most of the region due to heavy snow and strong winds, causing poor visibility. Strong wind gusts are expected overnight into Thursday as well, leading to further blowing and drifting snow. Take caution if travelling tomorrow. We recommend staying off the roads, especially in the afternoon.
