A very pleasant day is on tap for tomorrow across the region, with warm temperatures along with mainly sunny skies.
Special Weather Statements have been issued for portions of the region. Environment Canada states that significant rainfall is possible this weekend, with amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres possible, and some areas may see higher rainfall amounts. Additionally, the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall, meaning flooding will be a concern.
Rain and thunderstorms will begin moving in late tomorrow night into Saturday morning, before tapering to showers for Saturday. Additional rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected late Saturday and into Sunday. Strong wind gusts over 80 km/h are expected as well. Further details will be posted tomorrow.
