Rain is expected across much of the region tomorrow, with Central and Eastern Ontario seeing snow. There will be a risk for some thunderstorms in Southwestern Ontario.


There will be the potential for some freezing drizzle tomorrow, especially along the line between rain and snow. Be aware of icy conditions that may develop quickly.


Freezing Rain Warnings are now in effect and Special Weather Statements continue. Environment Canada states that a "major ice storm" is expected this weekend. More data will be analyzed tomorrow with a full STORM CENTRE update.


Freezing rain will begin tomorrow evening for many areas, continuing overnight into Saturday. There may be a break Saturday before it resumes. Additionally, strong wind gusts are expected to develop late tomorrow into Saturday, with the potential for wind gusts 80 km/h or higher. Stay tuned for more updates.
