The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties for Saturday, July 13, 2024. This advisory includes the cities of Ann Arbor, Detroit, Howell, Monroe, Pontiac, Port Huron and Warren.

Elevated levels of Ozone are expected tomorrow. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range.

It is recommended to avoid strenuous outdoor activities while air quality is poor and avoid creating more ozone. Additional ozone is created by refueling vehicles and using gas powered lawn equipment.

Driving less through the day, using alternative modes of transportation such as walking or bike riding, and combining errands can have a positive impact.
