As a low pressure system passes to the south of our region, we will see rain throughout the day on Thursday, mainly in Southwestern Ontario. Rain will begin late tonight into tomorrow morning, and will bring some gusty winds along with it. The rain will taper off tomorrow evening into Friday morning.
The morning commute may be affected, particularly in Southwestern Ontario where some heavier pockets of rain will be possible.
The largest rainfall totals are expected in Extreme Southwestern Ontario, where 10 to 20 mm is expected. Some locally higher rainfall totals will be possible.
10 to 20 mm: Amherstburg, Chatham, Pelee Island, Rondeau Park, Sarnia, Wallaceburg and Windsor.
5 to 10 mm: Burlington, Dunnville, Goderich, Grand Bend, Hamilton, London, Long Point, Niagara Falls, Port Colborne, Simcoe, St. Catharines, St. Thomas and Stratford.
Trace to 5 mm: Barrie, Collingwood, Guelph, Hanover, Kincardine, Kitchener, Lion's Head, Listowel, Midland, Mississauga, Mount Forest, Newmarket, Oakville, Orillia, Oshawa, Owen Sound, Southampton, Tobermory and Toronto.
The strongest wind gusts are expected throughout Southwestern Ontario, Midwestern Ontario, and portions of Central Ontario.
